Next Monday is Labor Day. It’s a tribute to the achievements of workers everywhere (well, ok, in North America).
Labor Day traditionally is a time of new beginnings. And it puts the focus back on work, after a summer of supposed down time and rest.
Does that look like your summer?
Nah, me either! This summer I created an online program, Rapid Revenue, and taught it. I created and gave a workshop on Business Success From the Inside Out. And a talk. Plus had all kinds of juicy strategy sessions to plan the rest of the year. And most important, and fun, I coached a group of amazing clients.
The shift into fall doesn’t always mean a big switch from leisure to labor. The change in the air and the season does, however, give us a chance to flow with the transformation that the change in season brings. It’s yet another opportunity to create alchemy in your business!
So how about a little seasonal check-in to pique your awareness?
Here is a mini-wakeup process to launch you into the fall:
Let’s start with getting clear about where you are, right now – always the best place to start! J
1. What have you achieved, accomplished in the last 3 months? Go ahead, make a whole list – list everything, big and small. Really go to town on this!
2. What one thing out of that list are you most excited about, and why?
3. What are your challenges, right now?
Next, let’s get clear on the foundation, the BIG WHY, the purpose of why you are in the business you are in:
4. Why is your work, your business important to you? What does it give you? What does it give your clients?
5. What are your 3 big goals right now, for the coming season?
And finally, what needs to happen to deal with your challenges, for your goals to come to life:
6. What do you need to do to deal with these challenges, to bring these goals to life? What do you need to have?
7. And most important, who do you need to BE to deal with your challenges, and to bring these goals into existence?
When you achieve the things you want to achieve, create the accomplishments you envision for yourself and your business, the one thing that will always be with you and can never be taken away is the person you become in making those a reality.
The journey of the entrepreneur is always one of self-discovery. It’s a package deal. You can’t help but grow as your business grows. That’s one of the beautiful things about being an entrepreneur.
So, who do you want to be?
You can make this kind of periodic wakeup a part of your routine, your nurturing habit, as a way to reconnect with all that’s important to you in your business. I do a Weekly Wakeup, to really keep these and other core questions front of mind.
Living your business out of that foundation of what’s important supports you in creating your dream business!

What was the most important thing you learned from this wakeup process?
Who do you need to be, to make your goals a reality?
I’d love to hear about your process, your thoughts, as you do this check-in – please share your comments!
