Five Day Countdown! The 30-Day Video Challenge

As the 30-Day Video Challenge nears its end, I find myself both excited about completing what I committed to 26 days ago (30 videos in 30 days) and wondering what’s next. I feel a little energy ebb as I go into the final days.

It’s not that I don’t have plans – I do! And another BIG PROJECT on my horizon, as I’ve learned how motivating and energizing that is for me. But I suspect that the ripple effect of this Challenge will take some time to integrate. I’m curious to see what a-ha’s are in my future!

I am tired, and I plan to take a week before I start my next big project. That doesn’t mean I’ll be idle, but the pace I’ve kept up during the Challenge will decrease and I’ll take some time for self-care to rest and rejuvenate. Being purposeful about that is essential. Otherwise, I won’t be able to sustain the momentum I’ve built and the stamina that keeping a fast pace requires.

So how do things stand in terms of the numbers at this point on Day 26?

# videos: 29

21 on Facebook Live, 3 reshoots because of FB Live pixelated videos (due to insufficient upload speeds in my area), 3 just on YouTube, 2 in the Work Alchemy Video Challenge Facebook group

Facebook page Likes/Follows: +5/+4 since last update

Email subscribers: slight drop since last update

Work Alchemy Video Challenge Facebook group: +3 since last update

The steady growth in the Facebook page and Challenge group is positive. I’m not sure what to think about the drop in email subscribers – it’s suggesting a shift in my audience.

Facebook ad investment: $8 in 2 ads since last update

I promoted my daily Facebook Lives as an event to Facebook page visitors, in order to increase the number of Live participants, and got just a few engagements. The second ad was of my 7 Tips To Increase YouTube Video Views to a broader audience, with the best response I’ve ever gotten in an ad, with 450 video views. I’ll promote to the same audience with a follow-up video and a call to action of either Like the Facebook page or email subscribe.

YouTube video views: +121 (a 65% increase) since last update!

YouTube channel subscribers: +1 since last update

During these past few days, most of the action seems to once again be on the Work Alchemy YouTube channel. The ad promoting one of the Facebook Live videos likely helped. Watch the videos yourself to see what all the fuss is about. I invite you to subscribe while you’re there.

I’m encouraged by the YouTube interest in my videos and will run a new Facebook ad to further stimulate engagement.

If you’d like support for your own videos, go to the Work Alchemy Video Challenge Facebook group and click on +Join Group.

My last update will be the wrap-up at the end of the Challenge. If you have questions, I’d love to hear from you – leave them in the comments below.
